Construction companies across Scotland are eligible for eight hours of digital strategy support thanks to the CITB-funded Digital Transformation through Leaders project. Any construction company in the Civil Engineering supply chain is eligible.
A total of 80 digital strategy support packages are available; they’ll be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis so book a call to explore this service ASAP. (Non-eligible companies can access this service as a Digital Strategy Day Plus package.)
This structured support is designed for companies who are near the beginning of their digital journey. It’s ideal for anyone who has a valuable contribution to make when considering how digital solutions can be integrated into business activities, for example:
- Quantity surveyors
- Site engineers
- Site managers
- Project managers.
The exact process will always be adapted to meet the needs of the company we are working with; as an example, though, it could be something like this:
Explore the possibilities of digital construction. Crunch some numbers on how various aspects of digital technology could benefit the company.
Benchmark where the company currently is in terms of software, hardware, equipment, skills, capabilities, vision, intention, growth capacity, reputation etc.
Select a couple of possibilities and analyse in more detail including direct ROI as well as side benefits such as being able to tender for larger projects, attracting and retaining talent, reputation and relationships with clients, etc.
Create an actionable plan aligned with the company’s business plan which will lead to identifying resources, potential suppliers, potential partners/collaborators, timescales, financial goals, and a digital mission statement.
